William Goodridge

William Louis Goodridge, 84, beloved husband of 54 years to Ellen (Young) Goodridge, son of the late Chester and Norma Goodridge, loving father of Bill Goodridge Jr., Amy (Goodridge) Wehrman, and Ellen (Goodridge) Lucas, dear grandfather of five grandchildren and two great grandchildren who affectionately called him Pops, died peacefully, Sunday, March 18, 2018 at his home in Burlington surrounded by those who loved him dearly.

Bill was first a devoted family man and secondly, a successful businessman. He was loved by his family as well as his customers he called on and Principals he represented from Tennessee to Michigan. He developed wonderful lifelong friendships with the entrepreneurs he represented as well as with those at the Fortune 500 companies he supplied. For 60 years Bill was known as someone you could always count on. He always gave a straight answer and was extremely dependable. Despite the miles of business traveling he was never late for a family function or business appointment. If he wasn’t an hour early he considered himself late. No matter the situation he never gave up which carried through all aspects of his life. Characteristics of honesty, loyalty, great sense of humor, love of people and his enjoyment of a good time with family and friends are the traits that made Bill a great family man as well as a very successful businessman.
