William Creutzinger

January 20, 1924 — February 2, 2013


William “Bill” Creutzinger, 89, of Villa Hills, formerly of Bromley, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood.

Bill was a retired Revenue Agent for the I.R.S. Following his long career there, he then worked at CINFED Credit Union as a loan officer. Using the GI Bill, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and his Master’s Degree from Xavier University.

He served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, seeing action in New Guinea, the Philippines and other islands in the Pacific. Bill played on Ludlow High’s 1942 undefeated Football team and was inducted into the Ludlow High School Sports Hall of Fame. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Bromley, and a member of the Bromley Vets, the Ludlow Vets and the West Covington VFW. He enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling and was a faithful UK football and basketball fan.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, LaJean Gilliard Creutzinger; brother, Bob (Gail) Creutzinger of Villa Hills; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bessie McLaughlin Creutzinger; brothers, Albert Creutzinger and Donald Creutzinger; and sisters, Eleanor Drohan and Dorthy Siefert.

Visitation is Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow. Ludlow Vets and Bromley Vets Memorial Service is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Service is Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Reverend J. Martin Westermeyer officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.
