Wayne Stamper

Wayne Stamper, 97, of Burlington passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at this residence.

He was retired from the Boone Co. Highway Department and a longtime Boone Co. Dairy Farmer; a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Richardson Stamper in 2000 and his parents, Richard and Sarah McKinney Stamper.

Survivors include his children, Carol Ann “Patsy” (James) Barnes of Somerset, Kentucky, Russell Leon “Butch” (Jeanenne) Stamper of Burlington, Mary Jo (Gary) Willoughby of Petersburg, Virgil Ray (Harla) Stamper of Burlington, David Richard (Carolyn Ann) Stamper of Dry Ridge and Kathy Sue (Jerry) Hubble of Owenton; sister, Mattie (the late Wilgus) Horn of Louisville; 11 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 3920 Petersburg Road, Burlington. Funeral services to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon at the church. Interment at Bullittsburg Cemetery, Petersburg. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron is serving the family.
