Thomas B. “Tom” Jennings, 82, of Taylor Mill passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home. He was a self-employed barber for 58 years and owner of Tom’s Barber Shop, Latonia since 1974.
Tom served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post # 203, Latonia and the Covington Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 1469. He was also a long-time member of St. Benedict Church, Covington. Tom enjoyed his time in Florida each winter. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and going to the casino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur James and Mary Elizabeth Broderick Jennings.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Carolyn J. (Herrington) Jennings; sister, Mary Elizabeth O’Donnell of Ludlow; sister in law and brother in law, Faye and Bobby Garnett of Florence; 23 nieces and nephews; 37 great nieces and nephews and 23 great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at St. Benedict Church, Covington. Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment, with military honors, at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict Church, 338 E. 17th Street, Covington, KY 41014 or American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.
