Thomas Bonar, Sr

Biography

Thomas Charles Bonar, Sr., 77, of Lewistown, Montana, formerly of Erlanger, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the V.A. Medical Center, Cincinnati. He was retired after owning Turfway Camper Sales for 37 years.

Mr. Bonar was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Florence United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Boone County Sheriff's Department. He was a past Patron of the Florence Eastern Star and was also a Kentucky Colonel. He was also a member of Central Baptist Church of Lewistown.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Wilson Bonar; daughters, Deborah Elaine (Craig) Worthington of Edgewood and Carolyn Denise (Bruce) Jorden of Burlington; sons, Thomas Charles Bonar, Jr. of Smyrna, Georgia and James Douglas Bonar of Golden, Colorado; brothers, Albert Louis Bonar of Covington and Donald Samuel Bonar of Erlanger; grandchildren, Ryan Michael Worthington of Edgewood, Amber Nicole Dunaway of Fort Myers, Florida, and Wilbur Allen Dunaway, III of Independence; and great grandchild, Kadyn Todd Foley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Clarence and Lula Edna Tanner Bonar.

Memorial Service is Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Florence United Methodist Church, Florence. Reverend Lonnie Storms officiating. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger, is serving the family.
