Shirley Ryle

Shirley M. Burns Ryle, 85, of Petersburg passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. She was a homemaker, member of Belleview Baptist Church, graduate of Hebron High School, member of the Petersburg Seniors and she enjoyed all types of sports.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell L. Ryle in 2002; her parents, John and Leola Smith Burns; daughter, Cindy Ryle; and brothers, Edwin Burns and Galen “Cobb” Burns.

Survivors include daughters, Shelly (Jamie) Beneteau of Union, Stacy Berkshire of Burlington and Allison Belden of Villa Hills; sons, John (Hope) Ryle of Burlington and Scott (Erika) Ryle of Florence; sister, Mary Bess Burns of Florence; sister in law, Lillian “Didd” Burns of Petersburg; grandchildren, Mackenzie Ryle, Justin “J” Ryle, Ryle (Kristina) Helton, Rachel Mowl and Sam Belden; and great grandchildren, Jameson Helton and Sadie Helton.

Visitation is Friday, December 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Belleview Baptist Church, 6658 5th Street, Burlington, KY 41005. Funeral services to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment at Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Belleview Baptist Church.
