Sam Edward Holder, 80, of Elsmere, died Sunday May 29, 2016 at Gallatin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, Kentucky.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Kento-Boo Baptist Church and a retired mechanic at Sears Auto Center in Florence. Sam enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Cynda Anderson Holder; son, Anthony (Robin) Holder of Amelia, Ohio; daughter, Cynda L. Carman of Elsmere; brothers, David Holder of Georgetown, Kentucky and Bennie Holder of Beattyville, Kentucky; sisters, Christeen Cart of Latonia, Betty Combs and Carol Reece, both of Beattyville, Kentucky, Norma Smith of California, Mary Lee Dennison of Versailles, Kentucky and Sharon Ratliff of Florence; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, June 3, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kento-Boo Baptist Church, Florence. Funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Reverend Shawn Crisman officiating. Interment, with military honors, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger, is serving the family.
