Ruthann Sands
February 24, 1945 — January 10, 2017
Ruthann Marie Barth Sands, 71, of Covington passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood.
Ruthann owned and operated her own hair salon, Beau Belle of Bellevue for many years. She felt her calling was to help those with hair loss by transforming hair pieces. She also enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Craig Sands, II in 2000 and her parents, Joseph and Mildred Kaveney Barth.
Survivors include daughters, Nikki (Michael) Bell of Fort Mitchell and Danielle (Andrew) Piccinin of Independence; two granddaughters, Renee Sands and Charlie Piccinin; aunt, Ruth (the late Jimmy) Clarkson of Royal Oak, Michigan; cousins, Kathleen (Ron) Kosa and Janet (Paul) Misner; and her faithful companion, Roxy.
Visitation is Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Memorial services to immediately follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment at in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
