Ruth Inez Kottmyer Huey passed away September 1, 2017 at her residence in Hebron, Kentucky. She was under St. Elizabeth Home Health Hospice care and surrounded by friends and family.
Ruth retired as a Boone County Public Elementary School teacher after 20 years of service. She was a faithful member of Constance Christian Church. She and her husband were devoted fans of UK basketball for 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Duncan Huey, who passed away in 2015; her father and mother, Henry and Freda Kottmyer; and a brother, Richard Kottmyer.
She is survived by daughters, Donna Sue (James) Walker and Janis K. Huey; son, Michael D. (Cindi) Huey; grandson, Kevin Walker; and nieces, Judy Kottmyer (Bill) McPeak and Sherry Kottmyer (Marvin) Phelps.
Visitation is Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home Hebron. Funeral Service is Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery.
