Rita Kennedy

Rita Cecilia Meier Kennedy, 89, of Independence died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Rosedale Green, Latonia. She was a retired bookkeeper for B & B Heating and Air Conditioning.

Born on July 28, 1923 in Covington to the late Mathias and Anna Berberich Meier, Mrs. Kennedy was a member of St. Augustine Church, Covington.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Caldwell; son, David Kennedy; and grandson, Brandon Kennedy.

Survivors include daughters, Karen (Thomas) Garner of Covington and Donna (Bob) Parker of Independence; sons, Roger Kennedy of Independence and Robert (Sandee) Kennedy of Marietta, Georgia; sisters, Jean House of Villa Hills, Catherine Hedges of California and Jenny Broschardt of West Hempstead, New York; brother, Richard Meier of Fort Thomas; grandsons, Jeff Marksberry, Brian Marksberry, Adam Caldwell, Casey Kennedy and Dustin Kennedy; and six great granddaughters.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Church, Covington. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington is serving the family.
