Rexford Napier, 89, of Florence, died Wednesday, January 13, at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. He was a farmer.
Mr. Napier was a United States Army Veteran, having served as a Corporal during World War II.
He was a Deacon at Sand Run Baptist Church in Hebron. He was also an ordained Minister. His hobbies included singing, playing the guitar, and fishing.
Survivors include sons, David (Debbie) Napier of Burlington, Robert L. Napier of Hammersville, Ohio, Ralph E. (Connie) Napier of Florence, Woolary Lenwood (Sarah) Napier of Cincinnati, Jack Napier of Florence, Stephen C. Napier of Pine Hills, Florida, and James M. (Missy) Napier of Hebron; daughters, Malvery G. (Si) Siedl of Tucson, Arizona and Patty (Morris) Jones of Falmouth; sisters, Jessie Lewis of Portsmouth, Ohio and Betty West of Columbus, Ohio.
36 grandchildren; and 46 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty G. Napier in 1999; sons, Donald Wayne Napier in 1959, Daniel Ray Napier in 2000, and Anthony Napier in 2003; and parents, Woolary C. and Malvery McIntosh Napier.
