Raymond Richard “Rick” Furnish, 69, of Paducah, formerly of Florence, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Paducah.
Rick was an LPN, having worked for many years at Healthsouth and the Veterans Administration in Fort Thomas. He was a U.S. Army veteran, Sgt 1st Class having served three tours in Vietnam in the AB BDE. He survived the brutal Battle for the Hill 875. Rick also served one tour in the Persian Gulf War 457th MASH Unit.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Carol Sue (Ryle) Furnish in 2014.
Survivors include son, Derek Furnish; daughters, Rhonda Furnish and Carla Hickman; step daughter, Christie (Rob) Caturano; first wife, Peggy Wiedemann Harris; grandchildren, Stephen Furnish, River Furnish, Gabrielle Furnish, Camille Hickman and Jenna Hickman; step grandchildren, Anthony Caturano, Nickie Stricklin and Gina Caturano; and a great granddaughter, Emma Furnish.
Visitation is Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:20 a.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Funeral services to immediately follow at 11:20 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment, with military honors, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.
