Norma Farmer

Norma Jean Middleton Farmer, 80, of Burlington passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017. She was a retired Assembler for Johnson Controls and a homemaker.

Norma was a graduate of Hebron High School Class of 1954 and a longtime member of Sand Run Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laymon Farmer in 2013; sons, James Robert Farmer in 1974 and David Glen Farmer, Sr. in 2015; daughter, Rae Jean “Sis” Doerman in 2016; and her parents, Robert and Norma Fain Middleton.

Survivors include son, Joseph Alan Farmer of Burlington; son in law, Matt Doerman of Hebron; grandchildren, David G. (Aubree) Farmer, Jr., Angelia “Angie” (Frank) Armstrong and Aimee (Jay) Hopkins; great grandchildren, Wyatt Farmer, Sadie Farmer, Frank Armstrong, Elliemae Armstrong and Jasper Hopkins; and sisters, Judy (Bobby Sebree) Bingham of Burlington and Minnie York of Lexington.

Visitation is Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment at Bullittsburg Cemetery, Petersburg.
