Nelson Goodridge, 81, of Hebron, died Wednesday, March 18 at his home. He was a retired Customer Service Representative with TWA Airlines.
Mr. Goodridge was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council, as Sunday School Superintendent, and as Treasurer.
He was a 13 year member of the Boone County School Board and a Past Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Goodridge was a member of the Connor High School Boosters and was recognized, along with his wife, for attending Conner sports games for 37 years.
He was a former member of the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and woodworking. He also enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds and UK Basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Aylor Goodridge; sons, Roger (Stephanie) Beacom of Hebron, Gregory (Jeanie) Goodridge of Burlington, and Paul (Lynne) Goodridge of Hebron; daughters, Cheryl (Doug) Haines of Union and Martha (Jeff) Parkey of Petersburg; brothers, Ronnie Goodridge of Alexandria and Lanny Goodridge of Clearwater, Florida; sister, Carolyn Ramler of Hebron; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Rouse Goodridge; and parents, Robert and Nellie Hoffman Goodridge.
