Milton L. McCracken, Jr., of Erlanger, went to his heavenly home on December 10, 2023.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Irene Harris McCracken; his beloved daughters Jo McCracken and Karen (Chris) McCracken Delaney; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, M. Luther and Edna Ratcliff McCracken.
Milton was dedicated to his family and found his greatest joy in spending time with them. Outside of his family, he led a full life having been a research chemist; medical representative for Parke Davis; high school teacher; an administrator at Walnut Hills High School and SCPA for 25 years; and had his private pilot license. He was also an accomplished woodworker and master craftsman. Milton was featured in Popular Woodworking Magazine and was a consultant for several major tool manufacturers, while owning his woodworking shop in Latonia for 20 years.
He was a long-standing member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church where he had served as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee and also shared the gift of his beautiful voice with the choir and as a soloist for many years.
Visitation will be December 12, 2023 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 2690 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, Kentucky from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be a private service and burial.
Memorials may be made to United Christian Volunteers at 15 Kenton St., Elsmere, Kentucky or to Lakeside Presbyterian Church.
