Mary Alta Maegly (Holloway), 85, of Villa Hills passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at her residence.
Mary was born October 13, 1929 in Durand, Michigan, the daughter of the late Crusoe Holloway and Verna Cottenham Holloway.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Maegly.
A graduate of Holmes High School in Covington, she worked at Western-Southern, Fedders Market and Hancock Fabrics. A member of Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church for 64 years, she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, cared for children in the nursery and participated in many functions of the Women of the Church. She enjoyed sewing, being with her family, cooking and in later years listening to talking books.Over the years she was a “Mother” figure to many people and was always looking out for family, friends and co-workers. Mary loved spending time and making memories with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children; daughter, Beverly Glenn of Villa Hills, Becky Morrison (David) of Villa Hills and their children, John Glenn of Taylor Mill, Emily Brophy of Union, Cara (Will) Donta of Winchester, KY, Sarah (Brandon) Racey of Houston, TX , Rebecca Morrison of Gahanna, OH and 4 great grandsons. Mrs. Maegly is survived by her brother, Carl Holloway.
