Mary Frances "Fran" Langefels Hacker, 86, of Bromley, formerly of Covington, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a retired Secretary with National Band and Tag Company of Newport.
Mrs. Hacker was a member of Sts. Boniface and James Church and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, class of 1942, and was a USO volunteer.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Steve) Preston of Georgia and Paula (Chris) Morgan of Bromley; sons, Steve (Ruby) Hacker of Bromley, Robert (Linda) Hacker of Villa Hills, John David (Debbie) Hacker of Latonia, and James Hacker of Bromley; step daughter, Karen (Bob) Taedon of Benecia, California; step sons, Timothy (Judy) Hacker of Cincinnati and Curt Hacker of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer F. "Bud" Hacker in 1987; and parents, Leo and Mamie Haley Langefels.
