Mary Combs

Mary L. Coby Combs, 77, of Elsmere died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. She was a retired Supervisor for the Internal Revenue Service with more than 27 years of service. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Class of '52 and she attended Grace Episcopal Church, Florence. She enjoyed square dancing, sewing, quilting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Combs Sr. in 2001; parents, Bernard and Thelma Bennett Coby; and brother, Jimmy Coby.
Survivors include her sons, Don A. (Donna) Combs of Cincinnati, Joseph M. (the late Gem) Combs and William J. "Bill" (Nola) Combs, Jr., both of Florence; sisters, Carol Wilder of Florence, Martha Coby of Greenville, South Carolina and Emily Kunkel of Memphis, Tennessee; brother, Joe (Ann Jean) Coby of Aurora, Illinois; grandchildren, Chris, Tim, Angela, Jennifer, Alicia, Heather, Nicole and Matthew; and great grandchildren, Jenna, Hannah, Abby, Paisly, Alexander, Ellington, Mikiah, Jozee, Cody, Abby and Blake.
Funeral services are Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.
