Mary Ethel Mitchell Cannon, 93, of Fort Wright, died Thursday, August 23, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a piano teacher and homemaker.
Mrs. Cannon was a member of St. Agnes Church where she sang in the Choir and served with the Altar Society. She participated in the Fort Henry Drive Block Rosary in Fort Wright and was a member of the Friends of the Arts. She also volunteered for the Cincinnati Symphony Association.
Survivors include son, Robert K. (Linda) Cannon, Jr. of Dublin, Ohio; daughters, Mary Louise Morsby of Fort Wright and Margaret “Peg” (Jay) Landwehr of Villa Hills; and grandchildren, John C. Cannon, Elizabeth Cannon, David Landwehr, Kathleen Landwehr, and Alanna Louise Morsby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Cannon, Sr. in 2000; brother, John "Jack" H. Mitchell, II; and parents, John H. and Ethel Head Mitchell.
Visitation is Monday, August 27, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. MIDDENDORF-BULLOCK FUNERAL HOME, COVINGTON is serving the family.
