Mary Lee Hellmann Atkins, 85, of Park Hills, died Sunday, April 20 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was retired from Good Samaritan Hospital as their Assistant Director of Nursing and Night Supervisor.
She was a member of St. Agnes Church in Ft. Wright and the Leisure Timers of Ft. Wright.
She served during World War II in the Nurses Cadet Corp.
She is survived by son, James William Atkins of Lakeside Park; daughter, Christine Atkins of Edgewood; brother, Ronald Hellmann of Edgewood; and grandchildren, James B. Atkins, Amy M. Atkins, and Abby E. Atkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Benjamin Atkins; sister, Lucille Ann Rassche; brothers, Dennis Hellmann, Bernard Hellmann, and Paul Hellmann; and parents, Bernard and Elizabeth Unkraut Hellmann.
