Laymon Farmer, 80, of Burlington, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Health Care, Florence.
He was born on May 24, 1932 in Barboursville, Kentucky to the late James and Rosa Shoaf Farmer.
Laymon was a retired truck driver for Guentter Construction Company and a carpenter. He was long time member of Sand Run Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon. He had perfect attendance there for 10 years. Laymon was also a member of the Northern Kentucky Baptist Association and Woodmen of the World.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Norma Jean Middleton Farmer, daughter, Rae Jean “Sis” Doerman of Hebron, sons, David Glen Farmer, Sr. of Burlington, Joseph Alan Farmer of Burlington, sisters, Bessie Sutton of Burlington, Ella Mae Kincaid of Hebron, brother, Glen Farmer of Burlington, grandchildren, David Jr., Aimee, Angie and great grandchildren, Frank, EllieMae, Wyatt and Sadie.
His son, James Robert Farmer, sisters, Dona Holt, Irene Owens and brother Arnold Farmer died previously.
