Laverne Borg Koop, 79, of Elsmere, died Saturday, December 13 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a retired Market Researcher with Gibson Greeting Cards.
Mrs. Koop was a proud graduate of LaSallette Academy and a member of St. Henry Church in Elsmere. She was an avid painter, a Cincinnati Reds fan, a Visiting Angel at St. Elizabeth Hospital, and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John William Koop; son, Gerard J. (Jodie Gunning) Koop of Edgewood; daughters, Barbara K. (Tito) Castillo of New Albany, Indiana, Marilynn K. (Phil) Ritter of Walton, Jacquelyn K. Hanser of Delray Beach, Florida, Marie K. (Tom) Tobler of Verona, Mary Sue (Mike) Drysdale of Dry Ridge, Therese K. (Turner) Cloar of Independence, Nancy K. (Dave) Pinney of Liberty, Indiana, and Angela K. (George "Bo") Cleveland of Dunlap, Illinois; sister, Jeanette Wolfe of Erlanger; grandchildren, Annissa Jacobi, Noy Castillo, Mara Castillo, Nick Ritter, Manning Hanser, Landon Hanser, Marquise Hanser, Chad Koop, Lindsay Koop, Cheyenne Tobler, Janelle Tobler, Skyler Hahn, Chelsey Drysdale, Tres Cloar, Lanier Cloar, Ross Pinney, Devin Pinney, Alex Cleveland, and Jaxson Cleveland; and great grandchildren, Jackson Jacobi, Kooper Jacobi, Maliya Castillo, Mateo Castillo, Sloan Ritter, and Hayden Ritter.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Bill Borg, Dudley Borg, Jerome "Romie" Borg, Sylvia Borg Kroger, Nick Borg, and Grace Borg Hafeley; and her parents, John and Rose Schatz Borg.
