Laura Wohrley

July 22, 1914 — December 6, 2008

Laura Adelia Riddell Wohrley, 94, of Ft. Mitchell, formerly of Ft. Thomas, passed on to her eternal home on Saturday, December 6. She was a homemaker and a member of Hebron Lutheran Church.

Born on July 22, 1914, Laura often spoke of the Great Depression and how "times had changed." She was constantly amazed at new inventions and would shake her head in wonder.

Laura's greatest sadness was over the loss of her childhood friends and family who preceded her in death. In her last months, she spoke often of her brothers, Norris and Marion Riddell, her husband of 49 years, Douglas Wohrley, and her parents, Emmett and Ida Dye Riddell. Most of all, she missed her daughter, Joyce Taylor, who passed away from cancer in December, 2005.

Laura resided the last two years of her life with her granddaughter, Tracy Bennett of Ft. Mitchell. She leaves behind her son, Frank (Patty) Wohrley of Americus, Georgia, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

Many thanks are due to St. Elizabeth Hospice for their care and support. If desired, memorials may be made to them at 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
