Larry Jay Hatter, 62, of Independence, formerly of Ludlow, died Friday, March 19 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. He was disabled.
Mr. Hatter was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wright. He was a member of the Ludlow High School Sports Hall of Fame and the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. He was a former member of the Ludlow Volunteer Fire Department and a former coach for Ludlow Youth Football.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Troxel Hatter; daughters, Phyllis (Billy Ray) Cooks of Hebron and Keri (Bill) Sullivan of Erlanger; sons, Estell (Melissa) Hatter of Crittenden, Curtis (Candi) Hatter of Plano, Texas, and Terry Hatter of Hebron; step-daughter, Kelly Fugate of Ludlow; sisters, Sharlene (Matthew) French of Alexandria and JoAnn (Jim) Powers of Ludlow; brothers, Garry (Diane) Hatter of Ludlow and Jerry (Diane) Hatter of Villa Hills; 10 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Marie Singleton Hatter.
