Kevin A. Mertes

Kevin Arthur Mertes, 59, of Villa Hills, passed away at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood, Kentucky on Monday, October 30, 2023, following a brief illness.

Kevin was born on August 24, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois to William and Louise (Ziegler) Mertes. He was a flooring technician for Huff Flooring of Hebron. Kevin served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed motorcycles, guns and shooting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include sisters, Ellen (Greg) Fussinger and Barbara (Mark) Hehman; brother, Lindsey (Sandy) Mertes; nieces and nephews, Kyle (Rachel) Mertes, Chad (Brenna Henderson) Fussinger, Lauren (Marc) Tawfik, David (Natalie) Hehman and Michael Hehman; six great nieces and great nephews; and many friends.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors is scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
