John J. Stolz, Sr., 95, of Covington died Wednesday afternoon at Florence Park Care Center, Florence.
He was a retired Body Assembler for Trailmobile of Oakley, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII with the rank of Sgt. and having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre, a member of St. Augustine Church and the Pathfinders, a life member of Knights of Columbus # 702 Bishop Carrell Council and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella M. Goetz Stolz in 1995; his parents, Martin and Philomena Lehmkuhl Stolz and 7 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his daughters, Marlene Mastin of Latonia, Cheryl (Ted) Williams of Cincinnati, Mary Jane Stolz of Covington and Elaine (Ron) Jarboe of Independence, Kentucky; sons, Jay (Elin) Stolz of Durham, North Carolina, Larry Stolz of Erlanger, Gary “Barney” (Dee Ann) Stolz of Edgewood, Mark (Lori) Stolz of Villa Hills, Greg Stolz of Latonia and Jeff (Janine) Stolz of Ft. Thomas; 21 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
