John Leonard McKnight, 71, of Florence, formerly of Hebron, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at his home. He was a retired truck driver for Miller Brewing Co. in Erlanger.
A Kentucky Colonel, John enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball and NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Fuller McKnight of Florence; sons, John A. (Cherie) McKnight and Robert F. McKnight, both of Hebron; daughters, Linda Vanover of Bellevue and Connie Forman of Florence; sisters, Mary Ann Miles of Hebron, Alice Compton and Ruth (Bobby) Kennedy, both of Latonia, and Helen (Bob) Taylor of Daytona Beach, Florida; brother, Charles Compton of Hebron; grandchildren, Jenna Vanover (Sweet Pea), Cierra Forman (Crazy 3), Maddie McKnight (Matilda), Colton McKnight (Little Man), Jaylee Vanover (Jason), Colin Forman (Calvin), Aubrey McKnight (Awful Morgan), Jessica Vanover, and Jason Vanover; and great grandchildren, Scarlett Vanover (Somerset) and Abrianna Reynolds (Abigail).
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Dean McKnight,
parents, John C. and Lee Miles McKnight; and brother, Robert Miles.
Visitation is Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Middendorf – Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral Service is Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Sand Run Cemetery, Hebron.
