John Adams

Biography

John Henry Adams, of Bromley, formerly of Perry and Leslie Counties, died Saturday, May 24, at his home. He was a retired Coal Miner with Blue Diamond Coal Company in Perry County, Kentucky. He enjoyed gardening and wood-crafting.

Survivors include sons, Douglas (Brenda) Adams and Billy Greg Adams, both of Bromley; daughters, Debbie Lynn (Clayton) McCowan of Williamstown and Paula Ranae (Chuck) Winston of Demossville; brother, Woody Adams of Somerset; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Mitchell Adams; daughter, Patsy Ann Mitchell; and parents, Henry Lilly and Polly Cootes Adams.

Services were held on May 28 at the Big Fork Church of God in Yeaddiss, Kentucky with Whilmer Mitchell officiating. Interment at Adams Cemetery in Yeaddiss.
