James L. “Jim” Wilson, 80, of Edgewood died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood. He was a retired truck driver for The Kroger Company.
Jim was a Korean War Veteran, having served as a Sergeant in the United States Marines. He was a member and former Steward of Teamster’s Local # 100.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Woodrow “Woody” and Thelma Virginia Vincent Wilson; and brother, William R. Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Nesmith Wilson of Edgewood; daughters, Tracy (the late Bob) Gick of Ludlow and Kelly (Jamie) Baumer of Ludlow; sons, Larry (Shirley) Wilson of Erlanger, Jim (Ann) Wilson of Pawleys Island, South Carolina and Reverend Dr. Gary (Jeannie) Wilson of Independence; brothers, Charles R. (Joyce) Wilson of Taylor Mill and David B. (Pat) Wilson of Batavia, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, November 7, 2014 from 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Funeral service is Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment, with military honors, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown.
