James A. Thomas, 85, of Whitesburg, Kentucky, formerly of Covington died Sunday, December 2, at Appalachia Regional Hospital. He was disabled.

There are no immediate survivors. He was preceded in death by parents, Elijah and Minnie Vanmetter Thomas.
