James B. Brown, 62, of Florence, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence. He was a retired Federal Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. After his retirement from the ATF, he was a Prosecutor with the Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney's Office.
Mr. Brown was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, and the Northern Kentucky Fly Fishing Association. He was an avid hunter and horseman.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Eilerman Brown; sons, Matt (Katie) Brown of Florence and Mark (Jenny) Brown of Burlington; daughters, Becky Brown of Florence and Christine (Eric) Frondorf of Erlanger; grandchildren, Nathan James Brown, Joseph Benjamin Brown, and Alexandra Maddison Brown; and sisters, Nora (Bruce) Dankmyer of Orange, California and Neala (Joe) McCarthy of Moline, Illinois.
