Ivadean Sowers

A. Ivadean Thompson Sowers, 83, of Orange Park, Florida, formerly of Hebron, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Jacksonville, Florida.

She was a retired LPN for Dr. William Yates and a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, George S. Sowers in 1998.

Survivors include a daughter, Robin (Mike) McArter of Milton, Kentucky; sons, Michael S. Sowers and Edwin K. Sowers, both of Orange Park, Florida; sisters, Fama Reynolds and Janet (Beckham) Williams, both of Kings Mountain, Kentucky and Charlotte Armstrong-Hainley of Burlington; brothers, Gene (Ann) Thompson of Hebron and Hurston Thompson of Kings Mountain, Kentucky; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Hebron Baptist Church, Hebron. Funeral Service to follow 12:00 Noon at the church. Reverend Dr. Shawn Edwards and Reverend Mike McArter officiating. Interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
