Helen Scherder

Helen L. Otte Scherder, 88, of Crestview Hills, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood.
She was born on February 21, 1924 in Covington to the late William and Helen Holtman Otte.
Helen was a homemaker, member of St. Pius X Church, Hilltoppers, former Postulate with the Sisters of Notre Dame and loved playing cards.
She is survived by daughters, Karen (Tom) Ford of Crestview Hills, Amy (Steve) Kyle of Alexandria, Renee (Clay) Newman of Petersburg, Donna (Jim) Clifford of Alabama, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Her husband, Donald C. Scherder died in 1983.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 18, 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Edgewood. Visitation will begin there Friday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
