Hazel W. “Dete” Hackman, 93 of Covington passed away peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2018 at her residence in the St. Charles Community.
She was a retired Sr. Manager in Human Resources for Provident Bank for many years; a Kentucky Colonel; longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell; a Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati Airport Ambassador for 17 years and a longtime volunteer of the St. Charles Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Hackman in 2004; her parents, Arthur and Mazie (Shehane) Dennis; brother, Arthur “Vince” Dennis; and her cousin who was like a sister, Eileen Klotz.
Survivors include a nephew, Tom (Colleen) Dennis of Louisville; niece, Janet (Doug Gerrard) Hackman of Highland Heights; cousin, John (Diana) Klotz of West Chester, Ohio; and a host of other family members.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington is serving the family.
