Harold M. Massie, 90, of Erlanger died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport, KY. He was a retired truck driver for Bluegrass Provisions of Covington, a member of Erlanger Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a Bronze Star recipient and he enjoyed sports.
Mr. Massie was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Mae Bornwasser Massie in 1999 and his parents, Bernard and Frances Shawhan Massie.
Survivors include his sons, James Massie of Gahanna, Ohio, Robert Massie of Edgewood, NM and Rodney Massie of Erlanger; a sister, Virginia Doan of Erlanger; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday at the Erlanger Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Thursday until time of services at the church.
