Grace Perez

Grace Catherine Menkhaus Perez, 96, of Covington, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.

Born February 24, 1916 in Covington to the late Joseph C. and Josephine Beierle Menkhaus, Grace was a member of Mother of God Church, Covington and a member of the Ladies Altar Society at the church. Her hobbies included playing bingo and watching Cincinnati Reds baseball.

Survivors include sons, Ken (Sharon) Perez of Villa Hills and David Perez of Covington; daughters, Shirley (Bob) Perez Saunders of Fort Mitchell and Marcia (Michael) Perez Richardson of Cincinnati; brother, Frank Menkhaus of Taylor Mill; sister, Florence Burke of Florence; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos "Buck" Perez in 1984.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Mother of God Church, Covington. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:05 p.m. at the church. Reverend Raymond Hartman to celebrate Mass. Interment at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington, is serving the family.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, 2655 Crescent Springs Road, Crescent Springs, KY 41017.
