Glen Farmer, 92, of Burlington passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his home. He was a former owner of Taylorsport Sand & Gravel, a farmer and a contractor.
He served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II. Glen was a longtime member of Burlington United Methodist Church and a strong, loving family man.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Joyce Farmer in 2012; parents, James and Rosa Shoaf Farmer; sisters, Dona Holt and Irene Owens; and brothers, Laymon Farmer and Arnold Farmer.
Survivors include a son, Gary (Mary Jo) Willoughby; sisters, Bessie Sutton and Ella Mae Kincaid; grandchildren, Jonathan Odell (Denise) Willoughby and Joanna Joyce (John) Hopper; and six great grandchildren, Michael Willoughby, Parker Willoughby, Alex Hopper, Ally Hopper, James Hopper and Gabe Hopper.
Visitation is Monday, November 13, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment, with military honors, at Bullittsburg Cemetery, Petersburg.
