Fred C. Nevel, 92, of Hebron, died Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his residence.
Fred was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He retired after 35 years as an engineering manager with Cincinnati Bell and was also a member of the Boone County Planning and Zoning Board. Fred had the proud honor of having the Conner High School stadium named after him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jean Marie Wood Nevel; and parents, Fred and Georgia Northcutt Nevel.
Survivors include daughter, Claudia Nevel of Fort Worth, Texas and Nancy (David) Stephenson of Hebron; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dannie Wagers) Johnson and James (Courtney) Stephenson; and great grandchildren, Vivian Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Jack Stephenson, Samuel Stephenson and Lillith Wagers.
Visitation is Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hebron Lutheran Church, Hebron. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Hebron. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron is serving the family.
