Evelyn Schmitt

Evelyn Loud Schmitt, 94, of Erlanger, formerly of Verona, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at her daughter’s home.

Mrs. Schmitt was a member of Concord Baptist Church of Verona. She holds the record at Miami International Airport as the oldest skydiver, having done so at the age of 82. She was a retired employee with Wadsworth Electric, Covington.

Survivors include son, Robert Gordon (Jackie) Schmitt of Ludlow; daughters, Joy (Victor) Brewer of Independence and Carol Schmitt of Erlanger; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred G. Schmitt; and her parents, Richard and Beatrice Hall Loud.

Visitation is Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Funeral services to follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Reverend Shane Brewer officiating. Interment at Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
