Edna L. Chambers Houp, 104, of Fort Wright died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and longtime member of First Baptist Church, Ludlow. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lafon Houp in 1967; sons, Charles LaFon Houp and Melvin Houp; grandson, Brian Houp; brother, Roy Chambers; and her parents, Charles and Eva Singleton Chambers.
Survivors include daughter, Carol (the late Robert N.) Miller of Mansfield, Ohio; son, William “Ralph” (Nancy) Houp of Fort Wright; grandchildren, Darleen (Cliff) Wynn of Fort Wright, Jim (the late Eileen Staverman) of Ludlow, Kim Houp of Florence, Darren (Pam) Houp of Knoxville, Tennessee, Bob Miller of Mansfield, Ohio and Stephanie (Darl) Beach of Florence; nine great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, March 23, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger. Funeral services to follow at 12:00 Noon at the chapel. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow is serving the family.
