Edie Waite

Edith "Edie" D. Birch Waite, 83, of Ludlow, died Friday, June 4 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. She worked for the Colonade Restaurant, formerly of Cincinnati and she had also worked for French Bauer Dairy in Newport.

Edie was a lifetime member of the Ludlow Christian Church until it closed and most recently was a member of Community of Faith Presbyterian Church. She attended Ludlow High School and was a member of the Ludlow Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing Bingo.

Edie never missed acknowledging a family member or friend's birthday. Even during her illness, she still remembered the birthdays of those closest to her.

Survivors include her sister, Margaret Birch Meyer of Ludlow; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jessie Jean Waite and Becky Anderson; brothers, George Birch, Jr., Jack Birch, and Bill Birch; and parents, George, Sr. and Mary Edith Davidson Birch.
