Dwight Carrithers Bray, 81, of Montezuma, Indiana, formerly of Hebron, died Friday, January 9 at Union Hospital in Terra Haute, Indiana. He was a retired Civil Engineer with Mid-Valley Pipeline Company (Sunoco)and the former Commissioner of the Boone County Water District from 1986 to 2002.
Mr. Bray was a Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was a member of Linebarger Chapel UMC in Montezuma. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the Hebrons Lion Club and the Hebron Masonic Lodge F & AM.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Steven) Flaig of Montezuma, Indiana; son, Dwight W. Bray of Hebron; grandchildren, Thomas Bray and Daniel Bray, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and daughter-in-law, Karen Bray of Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Connely Bray; and parents, Dwight H. and Virginia Carrithers Bray.
