Douglas Vogt, 83 of Covington, died Wednesday morning, August 1, 2012 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Fort Thomas.
Born April 13, 1929 in Covington to the late John, Sr. and Juanita Hill Vogt, Douglas was a retired production worker for the Dorman Products Company and a U.S. Navy veteran. He also enjoyed horse racing and playing cards.
Survivors include a sister, Bernette (Clifford) McDine of Crescent Springs; nephews, David (Jennifer) Redman of Covington, John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy; nieces, Joyce Robinson of Cold Springs, Mary Theresa Brafford of Covington, Cathy (Bill) White of Independence, Tina (Bill) Boyers of Cincinnati and Shay (Mark) Reis of Covington; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Geneva Mardis, Rosella Connelly, Joann Vogt, Joyce Green and Mary Lannigan; and brothers, John Vogt, Jr., and Herbert Vogt.
Visitation 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home. Deacon Tim Schabell officiating. Interment, with military honors, at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
