Dorothy Ann Nieman Kling, 100, of Fort Wright, formerly a long-time resident of West Covington, died Thursday morning, November 8, 2012 at her home. She was a Sales Clerk for H.S. Pogue’s Department Store.
Born July 25, 1912 in Covington to George and Clara (Gerdes) Nieman, Mrs. Kling was a member of St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright and previously a long-time devoted member of St. Ann Church, West Covington.
She devoted herself to taking care of her daughter, Donna Jean Kling who died May 4, 2001 and was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin S. Kling, Sr. on December 8, 1977.
Survivors include daughters, Cynthia (Dr. Timothy) Burke of Louisville and Sister Madonna Marie, C.D.P. of Lawrence, Massachusetts; sons, Walter (Alice) Kling of Georgetown, Kentucky and Franklin S. (Susan) Kling, Jr. of Villa Hills; sister, Margie Meyer of Fort Wright; grandchildren, Jeremy Kling, Jennifer (Eddie) Parsley, Seana Burke, Collin Burke and Ryan Burke; and great grandchildren, Jared, Amber, Ashley, Emily and Amy.
Visitation is Monday, November 12, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Fort Wright. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the church. A reception will immediately follow the funeral mass in the church undercroft. Interment at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington is serving the family.
