Dora Donaghy

Dora Lee (Booth) Donaghy, 58, of Petersburg passed away Saturday morning, August 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Dora was a Middle School Teacher in the Boone County School District where she worked at Camp Ernst and Conner Middle Schools. She received her bachelor’s degree from NKU in Anthropology. She was an all-around sports lover and participant. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball, and volleyball. Dora was a published researcher on the Margaret Garner Story for the Underground Railroad.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Donaghy; daughter, Ryan (Hanna Petro) Donaghy; sons, Shawn (Stacey) Donaghy and Brian Donaghy; brother, Mark (Jennifer) Wallace; sisters, Teresa Wallace, Lisa Wallace and Meagan (Giovanni) Losito; five grandchildren, Blake Donaghy, Trent Donaghy, Braden Donaghy, Mark David Donaghy and Shawn McKenna Donaghy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the favorite charity of donor’s choice.
