Donna Sue (Huey) Walker

Donna Sue (Huey) Walker, born November 18,1943 in Constance, Kentucky died at home in North Venice, Florida on July 20, 2024, with her son, Kevin, and her husband, Jim, by her bedside. 

She was predeceased in death by her parents; Robert Duncan Huey and Ruth Inez (Kottmyer) Huey. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years James Robert Walker; son Kevin Leslie Walker; his wife Neesha; and their son Daniel; brother Michael Douglas Huey; sister Janis Kay Huey. 

Donna Sue graduated from Boone County High School (1961) and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1965. While at the University she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. And, of course, she was a devoted UK Wildcat basketball fan. Donna Sue was an avid reader and would read about any book she could get her hands on. 

She loved attending reunions of the Boone County class of '61 and was delighted to meet and "catch up" on times and events that passed. She worked for GE Credit Corporation after graduation and moved to Colorado with Jim after marriage and later to Virginia and raised her dear son Kevin. She leaves behind a legacy of wonderful memories of her but also broken hearts to both family and friends from her untimely passing. 

A visitation will be held at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, 1833 Petersburg, Road, Hebron, Kentucky on July 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. Immediately following will be a funeral service at the funeral home with burial at the Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery. 

A reception for guests and friends will follow at the Hebron Lutheran Church. 

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that any donation considered be given to the Boone County Kentucky Library or to the American Cancer Society.
