Donald Lee Brooks, Sr., 74, of Burlington, Kentucky died Monday evening at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood, Kentucky.
He was a retired machine clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, Dalton Street Station. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He once rolled a 899, for which he was very proud to have accomplished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Martha Wilder Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Simpson Brooks of Burlington, two daughters, Sandy (Rick) Whisman of Wallingford, KY and Dawn (Dave) Spoonamore of Petersburg, KY; two sons, Donald L. Brooks, Jr. of Florida and Bob Price of Burlington, KY; two brothers, Jim Brooks of Baltimore, MD and Bill Brooks of Reno, NV; seven grandchildren, Megan, Amber, Amanda, Alexis, Dustin, Casey and Logan; and one great granddaughter, Kasie.
