Richard S. "Dick" Burns, Sr., 85, of Hebron, died Saturday, March 6 at Healthcare of St. Elizabeth, Florence. He was a retired painter with Lodge and Shipley Company of Cincinnati.
Mr. Burns was a United States Army Veteran, having served during World War II.
He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the American Trap Shooting Association and the Crittenden AAA Gun Club.
Survivors include his sons, Raymond "Jerry" Burns of Florence and Richard "Rick" Burns of Falmouth; eight grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Rayborn in 2009; his long-time companion, Mae Helen Courtney in 1988; five sisters; and his parents, Steven and Vera Mae Franks Burns.
