Denis James Snider, 83, of Elsmere, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. He was a retired Construction Superintendent for Messer Construction Company.
Mr. Snider was a United States Army veteran, having served in Korea and a member of the Carpenters Union and the American Legion. He loved all sports and was a former coach of the S&H Green Stamps Knothole Team who won the 1956 Nationals.
Survivors include his wife, Edna "Eddie" Chapman Snider; son, Terrence (Terri) Snider of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters: , Denise (David) Mayhaus and Susan (Mike) Kuhr, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; step-son, Tim (Sherri) Hale of New York; brothers, Thomas Snider and Jerry Snider, both of Batavia, Ohio; sisters, Vera Mae Snider and Judy Snider, both of Owensville, Ohio; grandchildren, Luke (Dacia) Snider, Leah (E.J.) Engelkamp, Cassie (Matt) Hertke, Jeffrey Kuhr, Paul Kuhr, Maggie Kuhr, Eric (Christine) Mayhaus, Emily Mayhaus, Zachary Hale, and Mason Hale; great-grandchildren, Ian Snider, Elliana Snider, Gabrielle Engelkamp, and Mia Engelkamp; and friend and father-in-law, Edward Chapman of Elsmere, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward James and Lucille Anstaett Snider.
Visitation is Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, Erlanger. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment, with military honors, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger.
