David Paul Cunningham, 71, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away on October 16, 2024 due to complications with esophageal cancer.
David was born on September 6, 1952 in Pennsylvania, but then was raised in Southern California, ending up in Northern Kentucky in the mid 1990’s.
David spent his early career as a printer, something he was always proud of and enjoyed, but as the industry downsized, he went back to school to become an electrician, which he was until he retired due to illness.
David’s true passions in life were music, food and history. When younger he loved going to rock and metal shows in Hollywood, building an amazing catalog of attended concerts, vinyls and CD’s. When not at a rock show, he was home cooking delicious meals that were self inspired and always healthy. As he got older, he became obsessed with history and created a prolific book collection, showing his love for American history and Nicola Tesla.
David was predeceased by his father, Donald Cunningham.
He is survived by his daughters Mykie (Quinn) Bailey and Crimson (Taylor) MacDonald; grandchildren, Sophia Bailey, Connor Bailey, Atticus MacDonald, and Lachlan MacDonald; his brother Maxx (Norma) Cunningham; and mother, Anna “May” Nufer.
A small Celebration of Life will be held at Barleycorns on November 9, 2024 at 3:00pm in Lakeside Park, Kentucky.
